IX International Conference on Corpus Linguistics (CILC 2017)
AELINCO – the Spanish Association for Corpus Linguistics – and the conference committee of CILLAC-ARP – the Centre for Interlanguage, English Linguistics, Lexicology and Corpus research based at Université Paris Diderot, in collaboration with UFR EILA – the Department of Intercultural and Applied Language Studies – are delighted to announce the 9th International Corpus Linguistics Conference 2017 (CILC17) from 31 May to 2 June 2017 (Location: Amphithéâtre Buffon, Université Paris Diderot, Paris, France).
For CILC17, it has been decided that particular attention will be paid to phraseological units in specialised corpora (whether monolingual or multilingual). The particular aim of CILC17 is thus to examine the means by which corpus linguistics attempts to detect and analyse these kinds of units, with the ultimate aim of better understanding how they function in discourse and the language system, as well as to examine how phraseological units can be useful to related disciplines, notably terminology, second and foreign-language learning, languages for specific purposes, lexicography or translation.
