XI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CORPUS LINGUISTICS (CILC2019)
AELINCO -the Spanish Association for Corpus Linguistics-, and the Conference Committee -members of IULMA and the English and German Department (University of Valencia)- are delighted to announce the 11th International Conference on Corpus Linguistics. This 11th edition of CILC will revolve around CADS (Corpus Assisted Discourse Studies), which uses corpus methodologies to examine the communicative purpose of language in different social contexts. CADS is now firmly established, and has been the focus of a large number of publications and developments. Nowadays researchers use it on a regular basis. Undoubtedly, qualitative methodologies such as those developed within Discourse Analysis and Critical Discourse Analysis have been enriched thanks to the assistance of Corpus Linguistics, which favours a combination of approaches.
We are also delighted to announce that the following speakers have already accepted to participate at CILC2019:
Tony McEnery (Lancaster University)
Maite Taboada (Simon Fraser University)
Alan Partington (Università di Bologna)
Nuria Lorenzo-Dus (Swansea University).
